Course Objectives:

The course will enable the students to:

  • Recognise to literary texts that prioritize women’s issues, across continents
  • Identify the selected writers’ individual cultural bearings and literary sensibilities

 

Course Outcomes-

The students will:

  • Analyse diverse literary texts through the perspective of gender
  • Get an insight into theorizing women’s writings drawn from across continents
  • Identify the impact of the socio-political and cultural issues reflected in the prescribed texts
  • Critically appreciate literary texts by women writers across continents
