The students will:

  1. Demonstrate critical skills of academic writing and practices of research
  2. Critically engage with literary texts vis-à-vis socio-political-cultural realities
  3. Take up and examine literary texts from outside the syllabus, to show a wider range of study
  4. Communicate conclusions, interpretations and implications clearly, concisely and effectively both orally and in writing for various purposes and occasions
  5. Understand and apply the research ethics and techniques of documentation so as to present their findings in a written report in a coherent manner

Approach in teaching:

Interactive session, discussion, research methodology

 

Learning activities for the students:

Effective questions, presentations , research methodology

C.A. Test, Semester end project examination, viva, project report.

 

The students will be required to prepare and submit a Project Report, requiring two hours per week of self- study outside the class. There will be an external evaluation (viva-voce) by a Subject-Expert and one faculty member from the Department, at the end of the Semester.
