  2. Critique the representative poets and dramatists in terms of their style and treatment
  3. Relate the existing conflict between faith and doubt in Victorian society and its representation in literature
  4. Trace the 'Victorian Dilemma' and the spirit of enquiry of the age
  5. Demonstrate the awareness of evolution theory of language by varied cultures to apply distinguished literary terminology for poetic and dramatic genres
