Course Objectives:

The course will enable the students to:

  • Recognise linguistic concerns that govern the use of language
  • Identify the core components of linguistics land grammar, in them
  • Analyse the grammatical systems of English and other languages

 

 

Course Outcomes -

The students will:

  • Evaluate the linguistic and grammatical structures of the English language
  • Defend analytical and interpretive arguments with regard to language
  • Develop required skills to edit, analyze and compose a cohesive and coherent document Acquire knowledge of phonetics andphonology for application of speech patterns
