The students will:

CO129. Develop an understanding of the cultural history of Americaby identifying the distinct literary characteristics and sensibility of the age

CO130. Examine the later literary trends in American literature, and show how gender, race, class, ethnicity and geography, have shaped the formation of such literature

CO131. Critique the representative literary works within the wider framework of socio-political and historical realities, vis-à-vis the themes, issues and pre-occupations

CO132. Examine the literary texts with a deep, broad, diverse and transdisciplinary perspective and understanding

CO133. Recognize and summarize impact and intersections of race, class, gender and sexuality.
