Movie Screening : Mrs. Dalloway

The Department of English organized the screening of Mrs. Dalloway on the occasion of Women’s Day on 8^th March 2019. The screening was attended by the postgraduate and undergraduate students. The screening enabled the students to understand the novel Mrs. Dalloway in a more clearly. The screening was followed by a discussion on the novel and the movie. The novel depicted the city of London in the post First World War scenario. It analyzed the characters and their inner consciousness through the stream of consciousness technique. The movie helped the students to understand the characters, the backdrop of London, narrative technique by contrasting and comparing it with the novel.
