Department Orientation

An orientation session was organized by the Department of English on 5th October, 2020, for all the first-year students enrolled in the department. The objective of the session was to introduce the students to the faculty members, as well as familiarize them with examination scheme and the various initiatives undertaken by the department.

The orientation commenced with a warm welcome extended to the students by Dr.RimikaSinghvi, Head of the Department of English. Dr.Singhvi went on to introduce the students to each faculty member, followed by an extensive description of the examination scheme and credit template of eachcourse offered. Dr.Shivangi Bhatt briefed the student on the various resources and infrastructural facilities made available for their welfare. They were acquainted with the value-added courses and research endeavours of the department to help the students enhance degrees and avail maximum benefit from them.Additionally, they were informed about exciting creative outlets such as monthly co-curricular activities, along with departmental magazine, L-Ink. Dr. Rani Rathore concluded the session on inspirational note by listing numerous career prospects available and testimonials of accomplished alumni, urging the students to be ambitious and realize their potential.
