The Department of English Literature and Language, IIS (Deemed to be University) hosted a captivating Literature Film Trivia Quiz as part of the monthly Readers’ Club Activity, on 23rd September, organized by the M.A. Semester III students. The quiz drew participants from within the department as well as from other disciplines, creating a lively and competitive atmosphere. The event aimed to challenge the participants' knowledge of literature and its cinematic adaptations, bringing together the world of books and films in a unique way.
The quiz was divided into two levels. The first level focused on contemporary film adaptations of literary works, where teams had to identify films based on books. If participants struggled to answer, hints were provided in the form of riddles, adding a layer of intrigue. The second level was a rapid-fire round that covered classic literature and its film adaptations. This round was more challenging, as it required quick responses, with each team vying to score points while racing against the clock. A bonus round added further excitement to the competition, allowing teams the opportunity to score additional points. The event proved to be a dynamic and enriching experience. The professors commended everyone for their keen involvement, highlighting how events like this contribute to both learning and community-building.
