On October 24th, the students of Department of English Literature and Language at the IIS (deemed to be University) organized a captivating and interactive event titled ‘Literary Lockout’. This event was curated by the 3rd Semester B.A. English (Hons.) students, with support and guidance from the faculty members of the department. The activity was structured as a lively and engaging session, thoughtfully divided into three categories: Children’s Literature, Fiction, and Non-Fiction. It was inspired by the classic game of dumb charades, where participants were tasked with guessing book titles based on clues provided by their teammates. Each team member picked chits containing the name of a book along with four restricted keywords, which they had to avoid while offering clues. The interactive format also allowed the audience to participate and assist teams in guessing the correct book titles, further intensifying the enthusiasm and engagement.
