Alumna-session: “Life Lessons from Literature”

The Department of English Literature and Language organized an online Alumna-session titled “Life Lessons from Literature” on 21st August, as part of its regular series of experience-sharing interactions. The session featured Ms. Aditi Mantri, an alumnus of the B. A. English Honours, class of 2022, who shared her academic journey and preparation strategies for competitive examinations such as CUET, UGC-NET, and GATE. She is a doctoral candidate at IIT Jodhpur and has been active in the field of research with four publications and more than half a dozen paper presentations at National and International conferences.

Through an insightful presentation, Ms. Mantri guided students on various aspects of building a career in English Literature. She discussed effective approaches to prepare for Master’s entrance examinations and highlighted a list of renowned universities offering postgraduate programs in Literature. She also explained key differences between examinations like UGC-NET and GATE, while offering practical advice on common mistakes to avoid during preparation.
