Objective: 

The students will:

CO1. Develop a practical understanding of the various technical aspects of the English language

CO2. Examine phonetics and phonology for a better understanding of the organs of speech, phonemic symbols, classification of vowels and consonants, and syllable-stress

CO3. Develop a deeper knowledge of the nuances  of grammar and the importance of four skills, viz. reading, writing, listening and speaking.

CO4. Critique longer pieces of discourse independently with an advanced knowledge of different strategies of comprehension

CO5. Demonstrate advanced skills of writing, analyzing and composing a coherent and cohesive piece of document.
