Objective: 

The Course will enable the students to discuss the works of Indian diaspora writers to reveal the social, cultural, and political contexts of migration, examine the impact of postcolonial thematic concerns on the authors and critique the representation of location, geography, and culture in such literature.

 
Course Outcomes: 

The students will:

CO79. Analyse the writers of the Indian diaspora to reveal the social, cultural and political context of migration from the Indian subcontinent

CO80. Examine the postcolonial thematic concerns and their impact on diasporic writers

CO81. Critique the ways of representations of location, geography and culture and its relationship with individuals in diasporic literature

CO82. Formulate a theoretical analysis of the themes of nostalgia, alienation, exile and homelessness  in  this  new medium of literary representation

CO83. Estimate the role of race and ethnicity to understand the historical background of migration

CO84.Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction.
