BA (PASS COURSE)

 

Upon graduation (with Pass Course), the students will be able to:

 

PSO1

Acquire the requisite communication skills and subject knowledge required for degrees and diplomas in Higher Education across various disciplines

 

PSO2

Analyse the nuances of the prominent writers and their literary ages using the training acquired for skill-development programmes and for careers in academics

 

PSO3

Cultivate the ability to evaluate the different literary forms and genres of literature empowering them to establish a baseline in the field of teaching English Literature

 

PSO4

Inculcate the essential skills of documentation and academic writing, towards developing research acumen in vocational fields such as content-writing and editing, translations, literary journalism, etc.

 

PSO5

Formulate critical thinking methods gained through the course of the programme to establish themselves in the fields of publication, content writing, etc.

 

PSO6

Argue and support existent knowledge for sensitization towards issues related toethics, values and the essential human condition arising from the changing trends in the society

PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs)

BA (HONOURS)

 

Upon graduation (with Honours), the students will be able to:

 

PSO 1 - Apply the disciplinary knowledge of English Literature and the subsidiary subject as a Content Writer, Journalist, Editor, Teacher (School, College or University), Copywriter, Copyeditor, Translator, Researcher, Hospitality/ HR administrator, Civil Servant, etc.

 

PSO 2- Recognize employability options in the programme as part of skill-development , for careers in academics, content-writing and editing, translations, literary journalism, etc. by inculcating the essentials of documentation and academic writing and developing research acumen

 

PSO 3 - Acquire the communication skills and subject knowledge required for Higher Education degrees and diplomas in the same or related discipline. 

 

PSO 4 – Demonstrate the results of their academic and disciplinary learning by combining the theoretical and practical knowledge to the real world , and demonstrate the results through various platforms by situating their readings and contributing towards emerging issues of caste, community, religion, gender and politics

 

PSO 5 - Evaluate and analyze the expertise gained through the program to establish themselves as entrepreneurs in the roles of Authors, Publishers, Professional Writers, Content Developers, etc.
