Author Interaction -Sangita P. Menon Malhan

The Department of English organized an Author Interaction for the faculty and the students on 22 January 2018. The invited author for the event was Sangita P. Menon Malhan who is an acclaimed writer and a dynamic personality. She was welcomed by Bhaskar Banerjee, Coordinator, Department of English who accorded floral greetings and Dr Aditi Bhardwaj who presented a memento to express gratitude on behalf of the department. She enlightened the students about the process of creative writing. She quoted instances from her life to motivate the students to be brave and endearing. She asked them to specialize in a particular field while constantly exploring new avenues. She also encouraged them to join community service which would give them a sense of fulfillment. She narrated parts of her stories from Muchchad Gadh and Other Stories. She also discussed her Urdu poems with the students. She answered queries of the students with regard to the process of writing. Dr Rani Rathore, Head, Department of English extended a formal vote of thanks.
