The Department of English, The IIS University, has organized the Readers Club Activity for an open interdisciplinary discussion on “Books versus E-Books” on Saturday 26 September 2015. Ms. Sucharita Sharma from the faculty of English supervised the session of this healthy discussion on what the current generation prefers – a flick of a page or click of a button. As a conclusion, everyone agreed that although e-books are convenient and easily accessible but psychological satisfaction and aesthetic pleasure can only be derived by reading books. Moreover, it was highlighted that the sense of ownership and nostalgia seeps in on seeing their collection of books which can never be replaced by thousand downloaded on kindle. However, there’s no denying the fact that both books and e-books are equally important and the current generation is lucky to have a dual access.
