A guest lecture on “Recontextualizing Gandhi: Culture, Literature, Language  was organized on 7 May 2015 by the department of English, The IIS University . The lecture was delivered by Prof. Sudhir Kumar from Punjab University, Chandigarh, who is a distinguished gandhian scholar and a writer. He spoke on length on the gandhian philosophy and ideology with focus on Mahatma’s relationship with religion, culture, politics and society as a whole. The lecture opened up new vistas of study in the field of gandhian study and the relevance of gandhian values in the present world.
