The main goal is to introduce students to research. In keeping with this goal, the main aims and objectives are :

• To provide an introduction to research methodology
• To orient the students to the techniques of documentation

The student will be required to prepare and submit a Project Report or Term Paper, requiring two hours per week of self- study outside the class. There will be an external evaluation by a Subject-Expert and a Departmental Panel, at the end of the Semester.

The division of marks will be as follows :

• Internal Evaluation  (Continuous Assessment) -30 marks, on the basis of :
  
  • Regularity
  • Data Collection
  • Contact with the Supervisor
  • Originality of the Work
• Seminar and Viva Voce – 70 (40+30) marks
  
  • There will be a Subject Expert and two Departmental Examiners, one of whom will be the Supervisor
