Readers’ Club Activity

A Readers’ Club Activity was organized by the Department of English on 19 September 2020, on the topic ‘Apps. for Literature Lovers’. The topic was selected keeping in mind the transition of academic practices from the physical to the digital medium, during the times of this pandemic. Students from 5th Semester took the lead to give their own accounts of some of the prominent literature and language based apps such as Google Play Books, Duolingo, Audible and Goodreads, which students can access and use these resources for reference work, as well as for self-improvement. Some students and faculty members also shared their insights on some of the apps and websites that they use and have found useful. This discussion was followed by an engaging discussion on the uses and impact of virtual mediums of learning. The activity proved to be a pleasant learning experience for all.
