Enrichment Lecture - Department of English

The Department of English organised a Guest Lecture on Postcolonial and Translation Studies on 18 September 2019. The guest speaker was Dr. Gita Mohan, an Independent Scholar, Translator and Editor. With the aid of a PPT presentation, Dr. Mohan spoke on various topics including Postcolonialism, Temporality, and Orientalism, among others. She stated that language is a unique world view and discussed the importance of understanding and exploring the wealth of knowledge it brings to bear on the academic world.
