An Enrichment lecture on “Recontextualizing Gandhi: Culture, Literature, Language and Art” was delivered by Prof. Sudhir Kumar, Punjab University, Chandigarh on 8^th May 2015 for the research scholars and faculty members of the department. Distinguished Gandhian scholar and a writer - Prof. Sudhir Kumar spoke on the Gandhian philosophy and ideology with focus on Mahatma’s relationship with religion, culture, politics and society as a whole. The lecture in detail threw light on Mahatma Gandhi’s experiments with truth and non-violence in all societies in the world today. The lecture opened up new vistas of study in the field of gandhian philosophy and the relevance of gandhian values in the present world.
