Objective: 

The Course will enable the students to appreciate the unique literary and stylistic features of Restoration prose and fiction and also such literary aspects as themes, style and treatment, as seen in texts from the Restoration Age.

 

Course Outcomes: 

The students will:

CO13. Appraise the texts against the social, philosophical, intellectual and literary backgrounds

CO14 Determine the evolution and development of Eighteenth Century drama

CO15. Evaluate the unique literary and stylistic features of the Restoration prose and fiction

CO16. Appreciate the genres of poetry and drama in terms of themes, use of literary devices, forms    and

techniques

CO17. Critique various genres in eighteenth-century England within a history of ideas

CO18.Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction.
