Objective: 

 

The Course will enable the students to understand and classify the modes and conventions of the age and gain an insight into the creative imagination and techniques employed in Elizabethan works.

 

Course Outcomes: 

The students will:

CO13. Analyze the genre of Elizabethan drama and the literary features of the age

CO14. Assess various genres of drama and the distinct Renaissance characteristics in terms of language, style, form and theme

CO15. Examine the social, cultural and political influence of the age on the dramatists

CO16. Critique the universal themes and human conditions revealed in Elizabethan dramas.

CO17. Critique the texts by reading and theorizing them in the   context of tragedy and its historical relevance.
 

CO18.Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction.
