The Department of English organised an interactive session (virtual), under “Miscellany: Meet a Literature Practitioner” series, on 7 November 2022. The resource person was Ms. Koral Dasgupta- an Author, Entrepreneur, Speaker, Painter, Founder of “Tell Me Your Story”, also listed under the Women of Wonder (WOW) series in Outlook Business. It was an interdisciplinary activity in which the students and faculty members from disciplines/faculties beyond the department also comprised the audience. Ms. Dasgupta discussed the significance of storytelling that could present the history of an era. Her platform “Tell Me Your Story” leverages literature to design and execute extensive learning programs that inspire social engagement and behavioural change for inclusion and diversity, as well as contribute towards making history for consumption in future times. The session concluded with an interactive session where students and teachers discussed the importance of the word ‘detachment’ for a writer, thus giving a new understanding of the importance of women’s perspectives from a different standpoint.
