  2. Distinguish the prominent writers of the age and their individual style
  3. Appraise and appreciate the poetry and drama and the different literary devices
  4. Differentiate between the various styles of poetry and their characteristics
  5. Demonstrate an understanding of various genera with reference to a specific writers
