Objective: 

Course Objectives:

The course will enable the students to:

  • Evaluate the literary history of women’s studies and feminist criticism
  • Assess the contribution of various social and historical movements so as to comprehend the contribution of women’s literature in society

 

Course Outcomes -

The students will :

  • Acquire analytical and critical skills so as to read for interdisciplinary feminist scholarship
  • Appreciate the stylistic representation of the diversity of women’s experiences, over time and across cultures
  • Analyse the critical and theoretical debates surrounding women’s writing
  • Appraise the representation of culture, identity and history in the given texts
